TNO

The Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) is an independent research organisation. TNO's mission is to connect people and knowledge to create innovations that sustainably enhance the competitiveness of companies and the well-being of society. TNO was founded in 1932 under Dutch law. As a public-law organization, TNO has an independent position and based on these conditions, TNO provides solutions for the major challenges our societies are facing. The approximately 3.500 employees work on innovations, research and data that can be directly applied by companies and governments. TNO focuses on targeted innovation: not developing knowledge for the sake of knowledge itself, but for its practical application in society.
