Joining & Eligibility
- Why should I join ADRA rather than one of the Founding Organisations* (FOs)?
ADRA is the right choice if you want to lead an ADRA activity or cast a vote at a Member Assembly. The Founding Organisations* each represent a specific community of interest, while ADRA serves the overlaps between them - bringing communities together to achieve things they could not achieve alone. You can also join both ADRA and an FO to benefit from both, and special combined pricing is available.
- Will Founding Organisations be discounted in favour of ADRA?
No. Each Founding Organisation continues to bring together its own specific community of interest and will not be discounted. ADRA complements rather than replaces them.
Fees & Discounts
- Where can I find membership fee information, and are discounts available for FO members?
Full details on membership fees and levels are available on the Join ADRA page. If you are already a member of a Founding Organisation, you are eligible for a discount - view the applicable discounts on the same page.
- Can I fund an ADRA membership from a European Commission grant?
This depends on your specific project and grant agreement. You should discuss it with your EC Project Officer to determine whether the membership fee is an eligible cost for your project.
- What membership options are available for public bodies?
The typical category for a public body is 'Others'. However, if the public body represents a significant group of actors - such as companies - it may qualify for the 'Strategic Members' category. See the membership levels page for more details.
Application Process
- How long does it take for a membership application to be accepted?
If you are a member of a Founding Organisation, less administrative processing is required and temporary membership is granted more quickly. For non-FO members, it takes a little longer to verify details. As a temporary member, you can access all benefits except voting rights. Full membership is approved at the next General Assembly, which is organised every few months during the ramp-up phase.
Voting & Governance
- How much does my vote count if I join ADRA directly vs. through a Founding Organisation?
Each direct ADRA member gets one vote at a General Assembly. If you are not a direct member of ADRA, your Founding Organisation holds only one vote on behalf of all its members combined. Joining ADRA directly gives you individual voting power.
Members & Community
- How can I see who is already an ADRA member?
The full member list is available on the Members page of the ADRA website.
- Where can I find out about ADRA activities and events?
Upcoming and past events are listed on the Events page. You can also follow ADRA LinkedIn for the latest updates.
