Boosting digital skills – New Call under the DIGITAL Europe Programme opening on 29.09.2022
The European Commission has set targets in the European skills agenda and the digital education action plan to ensure that 70% of adults have basic digital skills by 2025.
The DIGITAL Europe Programme is now opening new opportunities for education programme and courses with the new Call 'Specialised education programmes or modules in key capacity areas' to tackle the current shortages of ICT specialists and digital professionals. The Call will fund Master’s and Bachelor’s programmes in digital technologies (including Artificial intelligence) and also interdisciplinary programmes combining traditional subjects with technology.
4Funding is available for consortia of universities, research centres and business and the objective is to train more ICT specialists and empower professionals in non-ICT sectors with digital skills. The total budget is €56 million and projects can go up to €10 million each.
The Call text is already published and it will open for applications on 29 September 2022 and close in January 2023.
The European Commission is planning an info session of Partner for DIGITAL Skills where it will present the call in detail and where potential applicants will have the opportunity to present their organisations.
